Two Papers Accepted for ASIST 2021

Two papers written by members of the Metadata Lab have been accepted for the ASIST 2021 conference.

The first paper, Named Entity Disambiguation for Archival Collections: Metadata Wikidata, and Linked Data, is concerned with detailing the team’s “experimentation with one entity linking system called OpenTapioca, which was chosen for its use of Wikidata and its accessibility to librarians and archivists with minimal technical intervention,” (Polley, K. et al., 2021).

The second paper, MetaFAIR: A Metadata Application Profile for Managing Research Data, discusses “the development of a metadata application profile (AP), MetaFAIR, designed to support research data management (RDM) to make research data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable,” (Tompkins, V.T. et. al, 2021).
